Order Before 10pm!

Reminder – Order before 10pm tonight!

Please join us in welcoming Mimi’s Makings Market to Market2Go! They’ve got cakes, pumpkin bread, and sweet and spicy varieties of jam and jelly available for purchase, including some made from beautyberries which are a purple berry that grows wild in this area.

The jams, jellies & fruit butters on the market are perfect for:

  • Topping toast or inside sandwiches made with Sugar Magnolia bread.
  • Baked goods that have fruit spreads in the ingredients, such as Thumbprint Cookies.
  • And spicy jelly makes a flavorful savory glaze for shrimp, pork, vegetables, and chicken.

We’d also like to announce that Ma’s Country Pantry is now offering some home-grown uncracked jumbo sized pecans!

Have you ordered yet? Help keep the market going. .

Even as we anxiously await the results of our national election today, there is another important issue that needs your attention. The Market2Go, which has offered a safe haven for grocery shopping since the pandemic began in March, is now in need of your help. We’ve invested heavily in a system that links you, our customers, directly to local farmers and makers, offering online ordering and easy drive-through pickup or home delivery of your orders. At current order levels, the Market2Go is no longer economically sustainable.

How can you help?

  1. Order regularly from the market, so we can return to “break-even” levels of sales.
  2. Encourage your friends and family to place orders.
  3. As often as possible, while you’re on the market site, go to the “Market Contributions” category and donate what you can to help sustain the market.

Pecans!

This week we’re excited to announce our two new vendors, Mill Creek Farms and Nutty H Pecan, who are bringing a southern favorite to the market — pecans!

If you’re going nuts trying to think what you can do with pecans, then consider trying:

  • Putting them in a salad
  • Using them as a topping on your yogurt, ice cream, or oatmeal
  • Making Pecan Butter
  • Mixing them into waffle batter
  • Adding them to a breading mixture to give your chicken some extra crunch
