Çoban salatası or Shepherd's salad

This dish has lots of names and variations- Choban salad, Mediterranean salad, Israeli salad, Vegetable salad, Shirazi salad, to name a few.

Some recipes omit the pepper. Some use mint instead of the parsley or some use both. Some use lemon juice instead of vinegar. The amount of each vegetable and size adjusted from chopped, diced or minced according to taste and preference.

2-3 ripe tomatoes, chopped      View Available Products
1/3-1/2 of an onion (depends on size), chopped      View Available Products
1 cucumber, chopped (peeled if desired)      View Available Products
1 green pepper or part of a bell pepper (optional), chopped      View Available Products
1 tbsp parsley, chopped      View Available Products
1 tbsp mint, chopped (optional)      View Available Products
2 tbsp olive oil      View Available Products
2 tbsp vinegar or lemon juice
dash salt (if desired)

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Combine the vegetables in a bowl.
  2. Mix the olive oil, vinegar or lemon juice, herbs, and salt together. Stir into the vegetables to coat.
