Pork Hearts in Butter

This is a simple yet savory recipe that can be made with the humanely raised pork and locally grown herbs and vegetables available at Market2Go. Please consider leaving a picture or comment if you decide to try this recipe!

2 Pork hearts      View Available Products
1/5 cup Butter      View Available Products
2 Large onions (or multiple small ones)      View Available Products
4 Cloves of garlic      View Available Products
2 pinches Salt
8 sprigs Parsley (chopped)      View Available Products
1 Carrot      View Available Products

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Wash the hearts with cold water and cut them into small pieces and set them aside. Cut the carrot into small pieces Cut the onions into rings and fry them in some of the butter until they become transparent. Add the carrot.
  2. Fry the mixture for 3 or 4 minutes more, stirring continuously. Add the chopped hearts and salt, then fry everything and soften.
  3. Add the remaining butter, add hot water, place a lid over the pan and stew for 20 minutes on a low setting. Add the parsley, let it simmer a few more minutes then remove from the heat and serve.
