This easy to prepare, classic southern favorite can be made with the locally grown corn and traditional stone ground flour available at Market2Go! Please consider leaving a picture or comment if you decide to try this recipe!
Serves: 2 to 4
Step by Step Instructions
- Cut the ends off of corn cobs. In a bowl, cut the kernels from the cob and press the liquid from the corn cob.
- In a separate bowl, combine the sugar, flour, and salt, then put this mixture into the corn bowl. Add the heavy cream and water, then mix.
- Place a large skillet over medium heat and heat the bacon grease. Add the corn mixture and lower the heat. Stir the mixture for about 30 minutes, or until the mixture is creamy. Add the butter directly before serving.
