A simple way to use the local wild caught whiting available at Market2Go. Pair with a side of mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, peas, or a salad. Please consider leaving a picture or comment if you decide to try this recipe!
Step by Step Instructions
- Wash the whiting in vinegar then rinse it under cold water and pat dry. Sprinkle it with salt and pepper and set aside in the fridge.
- In a bowl, combine the corn meal, flour, pepper, cayenne pepper, salt and garlic powder.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet on the stove. Coat both sides of the whiting fillets with the flour mixture and fry them in the oil for about 5 minutes per side. Pairs well with mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, peas, or a salad.
