Fuyu Persimmon Pie

An autumnal fruit pie that’s fairly easy to prepare. Try serving it with a little bit of vanilla ice cream. Please consider leaving a picture or comment if you decide to try this recipe!

Ingredients
A pie crust (either homemade or store bought)
4 or 5 Persimmons (sliced)      View Available Products
1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon Allspice
1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
2 tablespoons Flour      View Available Products
1/2 cup Sugar
2 Eggs (beaten)      View Available Products
1/3 cup Butter (melted)      View Available Products
Vanilla ice cream for serving      View Available Products

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Place your pie crust into 1 9 inch pie pan. Mix the cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg together. Put the persimmons into the piecrust and pour the spice mixture over them.
  2. Mix the flour, sugar, eggs, and butter together, then pour the mixture over the persimmons.
  3. Bake for 15 minutes, then lower the temperature to 300 degrees and bake for 45 more minutes. Serve with a little vanilla ice cream.
