Ground Beef Chili
Source: www.tasteofhome.com (modified slightly) (Entered by Ariana Giddens)
This recipe uses the local meat, vegetables, sauces, and herbs available at Market2Go. Would pair well with some bread from local bakers or with some homemade cornbread. Please consider leaving a picture or comment if you decide to try this recipe!
Step by Step Instructions
- In a stockpot, cook the beef, onion, bell pepper, and celery over medium heat. Drain the mixture once the meat is cooked and the vegetables are tender.
- Stir in the beans, tomato puree, salsa, diced tomatoes, broth, water, all the sauces and seasonings, and browning sauce if you choose to use it. Bring the chili to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer uncovered for at least 30 minutes.
- Serving suggestions include chopped onions, shredded cheese, or sliced jalapenos for topping and bread, rolls, or cheese straws as a side.
