Cabbage Goulash

This easy to prepare hearty meal uses locally grown and raised meats and vegetables, and pairs well with the fresh baked bread available at Market2Go. Please consider leaving a picture or comment if you decide to try this recipe!

Serves: 10-12


Ingredients
1 pound Bulk pork sausage      View Available Products
1 pound Ground beef      View Available Products
1 Large onion or several smaller ones (chopped)      View Available Products
28 ounces Tomatoes (diced)
6 ounces Tomato paste
2 tablespoons Cider vinegar
1 tablespoon Chili powder
1 teaspoon Garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
10 cups Cabbage (shredded)      View Available Products
Bread for serving      View Available Products

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Cook the sausage, onion, and ground beef in a large pan until the meat has browned.
  2. Stir in all the remaining ingredients, and bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer uncovered for 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. Serve with the bread of your choice.
