Herbed Turkey Burger

These healthy and flavorful turkey burgers are perfect for a 4th of July cookout! Please consider leaving a picture or comment if you decide to try this recipe!

Serves: 8 burgers

2 tablespoons Olive oil      View Available Products
1/2 of 1 medium sized Onion      View Available Products
4 cloves Garlic (minced)      View Available Products
2 pounds Ground turkey      View Available Products
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Pepper
1/2 cup Parsley (chopped)      View Available Products
1 tablespoon Fresh rosemary (minced)      View Available Products
1 tablespoon Fresh sage (minced)      View Available Products
2 teaspoons Fresh thyme (chopped)      View Available Products

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Saute the onion in olive oil over medium heat for about 3 minutes. Add the garlic and saute for 2 more minutes. Place them together in a bowl and let them cool.
  2. After the saute mixture has cooled, add the turkey, salt, pepper, parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme to the bowl. Mix with your hands until well combined. Shape the meat into patties with a small indentation in the middle.
  3. Using either a grill or skillet, cook the patties for 5 to 6 minutes on each side. If using a grill, first pre-heat the grill on high for 10 minutes and coat the grates with a small amount of vegetable oil. If using a skillet, put a small amount of oil in first to prevent the burgers from sticking.
  4. Serve the turkey burgers with toppings of choice.
