Blaubeer Kuchen mit Streusel

This is a delicious and NUTRITIOUS recipe for blueberry cake submitted by a Georgia Southern University Meal Nutrition class.

1 quart blueberries      View Available Products
2 cups self-rising flour      View Available Products
2/3 cup honey      View Available Products
1 stick butter      View Available Products
2 tsp vanilla
1 egg      View Available Products

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Streusel ingredients: 1 cup of self-rising flour, 1 cup of sugar, 1 stick of melted butter
  2. Mix together the flour, sugar, egg, butter, and vanilla until it forms a ball with a greasy texture.
  3. Cut ball in half.
  4. Flatten halves in 2 greased 9” round pans, covering the bottom and side of pan.
  5. Equally distribute the blueberries between the two pans.
  6. Knead streusel ingredients until firm and greasy.
  7. Crumble streusel over blueberries.
  8. Bake the cakes @ 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until tops are brown.
  9. Let cool for 15 minutes or freeze and serve cold.
