Our sausage is made with only the following cuts: Boston Butt, Shoulders, and Hams. Our pigs and hogs range freely in the woods and on pasture. They have a fenced in land parcel of 20 acres and even then they sneak out sometimes and venture beyond the fencing. Especially the little ones. In the woods they love to root for acorns and roots. In the pastures they enjoy a diet of fresh grass and bugs. They are supplemented with natural grains that we mill ourselves here on our farm. They spend all of their time outside in the fresh air. Our pigs and hogs are not the picture that they are sometimes portrayed. They are not fat and lazy. They are muscled up from all of their chasing each other and playing. They are very sociable animals and seem to enjoy human contact. They are our most enjoyable animal on our farm. The health benefits of pastured pork are numerous. They are raised of course without the use of antibiotics or artificial growth hormones. We naturally raise our favorite breeds and they are prized by both professional and home chefs. The humane treatment of all of our animals is our main priority and we are fortunate that our meat processor is registered as Certified Humane. You have most likely never tasted pork like ours and you will taste the difference. We are pleased to be offering you our pastured pork.
