Our extra virgin olive oil is produced on a small farm near Lyons, Georgia. We have been growing a selection of olive trees for 10 years using high density farming techniques. We have selected 5 varieties that produce well in our humid climate: 2 Greek, 2 Spanish and 1 Italian variety. The olives grow throughout summer and are then harvested and pressed in the fall. In 2014, we won a Gold Medal from the New York International Olive Oil Competition. Professional tasters describe our oil as having “Aromas of ripe fruit, green grass, dried fruit, banana and notes of herbs, tomato. Taste exhibits abundant fruitiness, green grass, sweetness, some bitterness, medium pungency and notes of butter, banana, with exceptional harmony, a high complexity and a high persistence.” The mild flavor pairs well with lighter dishes, cheese and fruit.
