Bamia - Okra Stew with Lamb

This is an old Middle-Eastern recipe served with short grained rice. The meat and okra are never made at the same time, meat is always made first or even in a separate pot, then later added together. You’ll get mushy okra if you cook them together at the same time.

Persimmon Bread

Persimmons are in season from Sept to December. They have anti-inflammatory properties and are a good source of dietary fiber, vitamins, A, C, and B, as well as minerals like potassium, manganese, copper, phosphorus.
Persimmons can be consumed fresh, dried, or as an ingredient of breakfast cereals, muffin, pies, breads, cakes salads, and puddings.

Almond Berry Coffee Cake

This cake is AMAZING. With that said what makes it so amazing is its moist, streusely, seasonal berry goodness. Since the blackberries have been so incredible this season from Jacobs Produce, I decided to share this recipe in lieu of the ending season. However, any in season berry will work just fine. Here we come blueberries!
