
Watermelon Sorbet
This easy to make sorbet is a refreshing and healthy ice cream alternative for those who are avoiding dairy and want to beat the heat. Please consider leaving a picture or comment if you decide to try this recipe!
Ingredients
- 3 1/2 cups Seedless watermelon chunks (or remove the seeds from a seeded one)
- 2 teaspoons Lime juice
- 1/4 cup Warm water (added as or if needed)
- Honey to taste if the mixture isn't sweet enough for you
Instructions
- 1Freeze watermelon chunks overnight on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
- 2Place the now frozen watermelon in a food processor or blender with lime juice and let sit for about 5 minutes to thaw slightly. Blend until the mixture is smooth, adding warm water and scraping the sides if necessary. Try a little and see if you want to add any honey.
- 3After you have finished blending you may either enjoy the sorbet immediately or let it firm up in the freezer for a few hours first.
