This easy to make sorbet is a refreshing and healthy ice cream alternative for those who are avoiding dairy and want to beat the heat. Please consider leaving a picture or comment if you decide to try this recipe!

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups Seedless watermelon chunks (or remove the seeds from a seeded one)
  • 2 teaspoons Lime juice
  • 1/4 cup Warm water (added as or if needed)
  • Honey to taste if the mixture isn't sweet enough for you

Instructions

  1. 1
Freeze watermelon chunks overnight on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
  2. 2
Place the now frozen watermelon in a food processor or blender with lime juice and let sit for about 5 minutes to thaw slightly. Blend until the mixture is smooth, adding warm water and scraping the sides if necessary. Try a little and see if you want to add any honey.
  3. 3
After you have finished blending you may either enjoy the sorbet immediately or let it firm up in the freezer for a few hours first.
