At Freeman’s Mill, we recognize and appreciate the fact that what we have today we owe to those who have gone before us. As with most any old southern families, traditions, stories, and our heritage have been passed down to us through the years. In about 1989, we realized that finding someone to grind corn into grits and meal was becoming increasingly difficult. We started grinding grits and meal for ourselves in a room on the side of our syrup shed. With time, folks began to want to buy our grits and meal, which we have been able to offer for several years now.

Our products are produced on machinery that is 85-100 years old and is milled the “Old Fashion Way”. We are very proud of our mill’s history and try, by selling our products, to offer you a taste of the past that our family has been entrusted with and able to save.

All grains are whole grains, we do not degerminate or fortify our products… Completely All Natural.

God Bless!
