The Main Street Statesboro Farmers Market will NOT be open this Saturday, October 19th, due to the forecast of heavy and persistent rain and some wind throughout the normal market hours. Most vendors have their products listed here on Market2Go, so you can still support your local farmers!

Our featured vendor this week is Freeman’s Mill. At Freeman’s Mill the highest quality of product is their chief concern. Their Grits, Corn Meal, and Whole Wheat Flour are Stone Ground from Whole Grains on their 100+ year old granite mills. You can find their products online on Market2Go and at the Main Street Farmers Market, where this Saturday, in addition to the grits, cornmeal and flour, Freeman’s will be offering Miss Nancy’s famous fried apple pies!
October 12th is Apple Day at the Main Street Farmers Market. Relinda went to Ellijay and brought back some Georgia Grown apples! The Market will be selling Fresh Georgia Apples as a benefit for the Market. Gala, Mutsu, and Cameo varieties will all be available for $10 per half-peck bag.
